Born in 1978, Catherine Jane Corfield has always been fascinated with art, showing a talent for painting from an early age. As a child her father’s artistic flair and encouragement helped her develop her skills. At school her art teacher inspired her to continue painting.

Catherine went on to study Fine Art at University and was awarded a BA Honours in Fine Art degree in 2002. Continuing to develop her understanding and knowledge of the art world Catherine then attended the University of Greenwich in London gaining a Masters in Arts Management in 2005. Catherine is currently living in Leeds and concentrating on developing her technique and compiling her portfolio.

Catherine has been influenced by all the many great artists past and present in particular abstract artists such as Miro, Kandinsky and Picasso and Impressionist Renoir and Van Gogh.
